Imposibly Mine I took a boat on a two day trip A trip that was impossibly mine I got a feeling inside of it A feeling that possibly mine The day at the fountain it was it Undressed and ready to go Shouting and running the joy of it Playing catch up into the night I couldn't feel the energy flowing So I took a look outside And brightness blinded my eyes I really think that I saw it coming All wrapped up in a box 'Cause the space outside was so cold Everything’s so systemised So will you grow old Beggar or rich-man inmate or soldier As long as you're fine We're fine Take it we took it It's better to do it It's what is right Now I feel the energy flowing So I take a look outside And brightness blinds my eyes And silly things took of their disguise Made me grin from inside They made me grin from inside Had to grin from inside

She Looks Like a Film Star I'm trundling in To the dimly lit club Where Lonely wolves Drawl from their tongues Lining the edge Of the dance floor With their bulging eyes Staring frozen She's there a dancing Moving her stuff She's so seductive With her comely strut She Looks like a film star Of the small screen Chiseled out cheek bones Rapturous queen Lady Fleur Roche Is coming over to me Slowly but surely She's transfixed me

Station to Station As I started Indignation Followed me around Peoples judged Denotations Made me feel quite down Then I Began To define and shape Who I really am I felt at ease With my situation I’m surely now allowed If it’s right, or if it’s wrong Keeps me on the tracks It keeps me in the black Driving ahead Station to station Don’t you feel Like a mannequin In the window of a shop? Do you ever Show aversion To some customers? Of course I’m Only human But try to show empathy Yes Peace love and Understanding are Not always on their minds If it’s right, or if its wrong Keeps me on the tracks It keeps me in the black Driving ahead Station to station

8.
Far Away Island I strolled along down my nice path that did lead From my hidden, mountain retreat On a small far away island Wheeled and dealed, buying up for the franchised Entitled elites They had a foot in one thing While the other was out Making a fortune And when the blue coats came a long using the Island-hopping-dawdling ferry We had time to polish the door plaque And meet the natives Who made them some tea It was all for one and none for all We took all we could take Like taking candy from a baby It Was a piece of cake We lived it up, big-shot Mr Supreme King of the castle Reigning over Our mosquito ridden Far away island Would never stoop as low to those Woolly kind of After-thoughts I remember saying Idealism go take a walk Taking charge of my hand-picked, go-getter Upstarts covertly An army of lawyers Working on foreseeable loop holes The sun never sets on the money web that is Moored to the banks with no signs So we grabbed all of the pie On our small far away island It was all for one and none for all We took all we could take Like taking candy from a baby Was a piece of cake We lived it up, big-shot Mr Supreme King of the castle Reigning over Our mosquito ridden Far away island

Shutting up shop It's closing up Never going to stop They'll be filling in the gaps And shutting up shop They're smart, how they take Born to it, for god's sake No more pissing in, their back yards That have been well fenced off Slumming in, the shadows Where they keep their rubbish binsbm And second cars Watch this space for the movers and shakers Seen behind doors of the money makers Oh, it's always too much what gets cleaned up It's never enough, for them to come out On top So you feel beat up I go to my places, Beautiful inner city spaces That are crumbling unkept Free Untouched From their stare And all that I love is inbetween And all my inbetween’s only I can see Where photos can't capture With their one dimension And words can try But are too post human Armored necks worn for a new review Growth indoctrination, for his and her queue Oh, it's always too much what gets cleaned up It's never enough for them to come out On top So you feel beat up Watch this space for the movers and shakers Seen behind doors of the money makers Oh, it's always too much what gets cleaned up It's never enough, for them to come out On top So you feel beat up

THE PIGEON HOUSE (Act 2 of 3 Acts)
(On Allende Hill)

Radio Play (To be released early summer 2024. Act 3 will follow shortly)
Written by David John Hull
Edited by Giles Schumm

All songs written and aranged by David John Hull

Artistic input: Reece Marlowe.
Mixed by João Clemente and David John Hull
Some dialogue recorded by Peter Hofmann

There are approximately 40 songs with accompanying dialogue. "More than a Wreck" serves as the main theme music. Most of these songs are featured in the radio play, but shortened at times.

The audio play follows the life of a young man, Damien Spirit, known as Dey. It delves into his troubled relationship with his father, who left home when he was young, his attempt to assimilate into the corporate world, his journey through transitioning to a transgender woman, his experiences on the road working in a bordello, and ultimately finding himself in a squat. The narrative then follows Damien's father's attempt to exploit his son and the squatters under the oppressive weight of a corrupt system. The play delves into themes such as the corporate world, gender, sex work, corruption, and gentrification.
The interspersed songs also contribute to the storytelling. Ranging in style from experimental music, pop, chanson, contemporary classical music, to folk.

The radio play does not confine itself to any specific country, utilizing generic descriptions like 'center of town' or 'in the south.' Similarly, the characters' nationalities remain intentionally ambiguous, inviting diverse interpretations.

Special thanks to Jeff Talton, who lent me his drums, bass, and banjo. Peter Hofmann, who provided a banjo, excellent microphone, and headphones. Thanks to Aidan Bartley and Fanto Thomas.

The speakers for the Radio Play: Jane Luca, Kaia Pierce-Grove, Felipe Valdez, Maria Schlangen, Rick Melling, Bernardo Sousa, Sofia Byström-Borg, David John Hull.
